The Coaching Approach

Everything begins with self.

The quality of our relationship with ourselves shapes how we lead, communicate, relate, decide, and respond under pressure.

Grounded in Presence-Based Coaching® and informed by lived executive leadership inside complex systems, this work integrates:

  • Somatic awareness: paying attention to the body as a source of information, especially where stress, emotion, and habit show up before words catch up.

  • Developmental coaching: strengthening the internal capacity to navigate greater complexity, responsibility, uncertainty, and change.

  • Mindfulness and reflective practice: learning to observe thoughts, emotions, assumptions, and patterns without becoming fully identified with them.

  • Research in stress physiology, neuroplasticity, and embodied cognition: understanding how repeated patterns of stress, attention, emotion, and behavior shape both experience and possibility over time.

Through this process, coaching helps bring awareness to the patterns shaping how you lead, relate, respond, and move through life, so you can meet pressure with greater clarity, flexibility, and choice.

The aim is to expand your capacity to lead, relate, and live without losing yourself in the process.

How Sustainable Change Happens

Under pressure, people often default into automatic patterns of thinking, reacting, protecting, and performing. Most of the time, we notice the consequence before we notice the pattern itself.

  • You leave a conversation knowing something felt off but not fully understanding why.

  • You react more sharply than intended.

  • You overthink a decision for days.

  • You keep postponing a conversation you know needs to happen.

  • You continue performing long after your nervous system has passed its limit, then burn out.

These are patterns, not fixed traits. They are adaptive responses that can become more conscious and flexible over time.

This coaching approach helps slow experience down enough to notice what is happening underneath the surface in real time: the thought, body sensation, emotional response, assumption, story, or impulse shaping behavior beneath awareness.

When awareness expands, choice expands. That is where sustainable change begins.

The goal is for you to develop the capacity to generate your own insight, so the work continues long after the engagement ends.

What You Can Expect

Engagements are structured as either a six-session/three-month partnership or a twelve-session/six-month partnership. Each includes an intake conversation, midpoint reflection, and closing integration.

At the start of the engagement, we define an overarching goal or commitment you want to move toward in life or leadership, along with two measurable outcomes that support it:

  • An external outcome: a visible shift in how you lead, decide, communicate, or act.

  • An internal outcome: a deeper shift in the patterns shaping your experience and behavior.

The external outcome gives the work direction. The internal outcome is what makes the change sustainable.

Sessions are 60 minutes, biweekly, and fully confidential.

Coaching is offered in English and Spanish for leaders navigating complexity in either or both languages and worlds.

Organizational Sponsorship

Organizations can sponsor coaching for leaders and team members while protecting the confidentiality and integrity of the work.

The leader or professional drives the coaching process, not the organization.
